CESP challenges government on energy rate cut

Mattos Filho, Veiga Filho, Marrey Jr e Quiroga Advogados is helping Companhia Energética de São Paulo (CESP) in its bid to recover costs associated with the construction of a hydroelectric plant, after the government’s introduction of a 20 per cent cut in electricity rates led the state-owned energy company to hand back its concession to the Ministry of Mines and Energy.
