Cemex looks to the future with latest restructuring

Mexico’s Ritch Mueller SC, the New York offices of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP and the London and Madrid offices of Clifford Chance LLP have helped a consortium of banks agree a debt exchange offer as part of a US$7 billion restructuring package of debt held by Cemex aimed at giving the Mexican cement producer breathing space in the hope that the US’s sluggish housing market will pick up.
