Canadian Supreme Court gives Ecuadoreans go ahead against Chevron
Canada’s Supreme Court has ruled in favour of a group of Ecuadorean villagers seeking US$9.5 billion from US energy corporation Chevron in compensation for environmental damages caused more than two decades ago, following unsuccessful attempts to enforce the judgment in Brazil, Argentina and the US.
