BTG turns to Pinheiro Guimarães and Skadden Arps for US$1.7 billion Swiss bank buy

Brazil’s Pinheiro Guimarães - Advogados, the New York, Boston, Washington, DC and London offices of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and the London office of Linklaters have helped Brazilian investment bank BTG Pactual buy a private Swiss bank belonging to Italian insurer Generali Group for US$1.7 billion – one of the largest ever European acquisitions by a Brazilian investment bank.
