British insurer sells assets in six LatAm countries
Hogan Lovells LLP’s London, Madrid, Miami, New York and São Paulo offices, Allende & Brea Abogados in Buenos Aires, Brazil’s Cascione Pulino Boulos & Santos Advogados, Chile’s Larraín Rencoret Urzúa Abogados, Colombia’s Esguerra Barrera Arriaga-Asesores Jurídicos, Mexico’s Mijares, Angoitia, Cortés y Fuentes SC and Uruguay’s Arcia Storace Fuentes Medina Abogados have helped Colombian insurer Suramericana sign a US$617 million deal to buy British counterpart RSA’s Latin American operations, a month after the British insurer received a takeover offer from Zurich Insurance.
