Brazil delays removal of foreign ownership caps
Brazil’s president has abandoned plans to issue an executive order allowing more foreign ownership in the aviation sector, potentially pushing back the proposed changes by two years. President Michel Temer was due to sign an executive order on 11 April removing the existing 20% cap on foreign-owned domestic airline shares, which would have allowed international investors to take full ownership of the country’s domestic carriers.
