Brazil closes Libra auction amid protests

Brazil’s Mattos Filho, Veiga Filho, Marrey Jr e Quiroga Advogados and Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown have helped a Petrobras-led consortium featuring two Chinese state-owned oil companies win the concession to explore and develop the giant Libra oil field, as increasingly violent clashes between police and demonstrators in the run-up to the auction left several injured.
