BG and Argentina appear before US Supreme Court

The US Supreme Court heard oral arguments last week in BG Group v Argentina, the first-ever case before it to involve an investment treaty. Commentators have been reacting to the hearing, in which one justice complained that the state’s reasoning gave him “intellectual whiplash”.
