Banco Bradesco closes gap on rivals with HSBC buy

Banco Bradesco has hired Clifford Chance LLP and Lefosse Advogados in São Paulo to acquire HSBC’s Brazilian operations for 17.6 billion reais (US$5.2 billion) and become the country's third largest bank by total assets.
