Australian miner enters Chile with Sierra Gorda buy

Cariola Díez Pérez-Cotapos in Santiago and UK-Australian firm Herbert Smith Freehills have helped Australian miner South32 buy a stake in Chilean copper mine Sierra Gorda from Japanese conglomerate Sumitomo in a deal worth over US$2 billion.
