Argentine competition president resigns

The newly-appointed president of Argentina’s competition authority, the National Commission for Defense of Competition, has resigned - after less than a week in office. Santiago Urbiztondo, who was appointed by the former Minister of the Economy, Ricardo Lopez-Murphy, quit on March 16. His decision is said to be linked to Lopez-Murphy’s departure from the ministry, where he was replaced by Domingo Cavallo.
