Argentina ordered to pay holdout creditors US$1.3 billion
A US court has ruled that Argentina will have to pay US$1.3 billion to its holdout creditors from the country’s 2001 default when it makes its next regular payment to bondholders which accepted restructuring packages in 2005 and 2010, calling into question the strength of sovereign immunity.
