The National Institute of Civil Aviation (INAC) extends restrictions on national and international flights until 12 August 2020.

The Supreme Court extends the suspension of Venezuelan courts’ activities until 12 August 2020.

11 July

President announces new three phases of quarantine easing starting 13 July until 19 July 2020.

27 June

The Vice-President announces the strengthening of quarantine restrictions in specific states and municipalities starting on 29 June. The remaining states and municipalities will be under the quarantine easement program called “7x7”. (The Vice-President public statement is available here).

12 June

President extends state of alarm and nationwide quarantine until 12 July 2020.

8 June

President issues a general tax exemption, including value-added tax, import and customs taxes, on imports and internal sales of fuel in authorised gas stations.

27 May

President announces that quarantine measures will be eased starting on 1 June.

20 April

Governor of La Guaira State orders restrictions on movement from 2 p.m. to 6 a.m.

19 April

President orders restrictions on movement in Nueva Esparta State from 4 p.m. to 10 a.m. until 19 May 2020.

13 April

Resolution No. 002-2020 - Supreme Court extends the suspension of Venezuelan courts’ activities until 13 May 2020.

12 April

President orders restrictions on movement from 4pm to 10am in Ureña and San Antonio, Táchira.

5 April

Decree No. DJ-04-20-006 - Mayor of the Angostura del Orinoco Municipality orders restrictions on movement from 2pm to 7am and suspension of public transportation.

3 April

Decree No. 016-2020 - Mayor of the Municipality of Chacao orders restrictions on movement from 6pm to 6am.

Decree No. 007 - Mayor of the Municipality of Girardot (Maracay) orders restrictions on movement from 2pm to 5am.

Resolution No. 079 - Minister of Health grants a VAT and custom duties exemption to the imports and sales of face masks and pharmaceuticals.

2 April

Decree No. 4,171 - president grants an income tax exemption to individuals with income equivalent to less than three minimum wages in 2019.

1 April

Resolution No. 023 - Ministry of Housing suspends rent payments for main homes until September 2020.

Resolution No. 20-03-01 - The Venezuelan Central Bank simplifies and lowers the reserve requirements applicable to Venezuelan licensed banks to address liquidity issues caused by Covid-19.

30 March

Decree No. 4169 – Suspension of rent payments for main homes (vivienda principal) and commercial use property (inmuebles de uso commercial) until 1 September.

28 March

Resolution No. 008.20 – Sudeban establishes special conditions applicable to debtors of commercial debt borrowed from Venezuelan licensed banks up to 13 March.

26 March

Communication issued by the Venezuelan Central Bank relaxing currently existing bank reserve requirements (encaje legal) to facilitate granting of credit.

23 March

Decree No. 4167 – President confirms labour freeze until 31 December.

Decree No. 4168 – President orders the minister of finance and the banking regulator (SUDEBAN) to create a special regime to provide financial relief for debtors of Venezuelan state-owned and private banks.
