BMA hires Cuatrecasas’ former São Paulo managing partner

M&A powerhouse BMA - Barbosa, Müssnich, Aragão has recruited Cuatrecasas’ former Brazilian managing partner as EU-Mercosur ties grow stronger after the signing of a historic free-trade agreement.

BMA hires Cuatrecasas’ former São Paulo managing partner Maria da Paz

Portuguese lawyer Maria da Paz Tierno Lopes, 48, had worked for 15 years at the Iberian firm, which she joined as an associate in 2003 after a stint at White & Case LLP. Most recently, she led Cuatrecasas’ São Paulo office between 2016 and 2018. Lopes left the firm at the end of 2018 and officially started at BMA on 1 July.
