Peru’s Rodrigo Elías loses two partners

High-profile banking and finance lawyer Diego Peschiera has left for CMS Grau to co-head its corporate and finance practices, while senior energy law practitioner María Teresa Quiñones will leave later this month to become an independent practitioner.

Peschiera, 47, joined the firm on 2 July. He takes CMS Grau’s partner count to 24, and will co-head the two practices alongside managing partner Juan Carlos Escudero and transactional partner Sergio Oquendo, who joined CMS Grau from Muñiz, Olaya, Meléndez, Castro, Ono & Herrera in January. Peschiera will concentrate his efforts on finance and capital markets work, while Escudero and Oquendo will turn more of their attention to M&A transactions.
