UK firm hires former Tauil & Chequer partner

UK law firm HFW has announced it is boosting its presence in Latin America through a cooperation agreement with newly established Brazilian firm Costa & Lasalvia Advogados (CAL), founded by two former partners at Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown.

HFW announced on 19 June it was entering a cooperation agreement with CAL, which is set to formally launch later this month, subject to local regulatory approval. The firm is also hiring CAL founding partner Julio Costa as a partner.
