Colombian firm Dentons Cardenas & Cardenas has recruited a partner from Mexican firm Sánchez Devanny to lead its business development efforts and support multijurisdictional deals in a rare cross-border hire.

Paloma Gómez-Pérez de Zabalza, 45, who co-led Sánchez Devanny’s energy department and worked on M&A deals and dispute cases, joined Dentons Cardenas & Cardenas as director of business development for Latin America and the Caribbean on 1 June.
