Argentine IPO disappoints amid stock market jitters

Argentina’s largest private sector power company Central Puerto has hired Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP in New York, Washington, DC and Buenos Aires, and Bruchou, Fernández Madero & Lombardi in Buenos Aires to complete an IPO on the New York Stock Exchange worth US$370 million.

The underwriters hired Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in New York and Errecondo González y Funes in Buenos Aires. Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP is also thought to have advised the banks, but this could not be confirmed prior to publishing.
