Chadbourne & Parke LLP's highly regarded Latin American practice in New York has spurned its firm's merger with Norton Rose Fulbright and joined international outfit Winston & Strawn LLP.

Winston & Strawn LLP, which has 17 offices worldwide, announced the merger today. Nine partners and one senior counsel will join Winston & Strawn's New York office, all as partners. These include Chadbourne's former Latin American group co-chairs Allen Miller and Talbert Navia, who are extremely prominent in the region's corporate, energy and private equity space. They are accompanied by disputes attorney and former US ambassador to Uruguay Julissa Reynoso, fund specialists Beth Kramer, Mort Grosz and Scott Naidech, capital markets lawyers Sey-Hyo Lee and Claude Serfilippi, and private equity attorney Kevin Smith. Former Chadbourne disputes counsel Marcelo Blackburn is also making the move and has been made a partner.
