Arbitration on the rise despite lack of case law

The strength and popularity of arbitration clauses in shareholder agreements in Brazil have been bolstered by legislative changes, though a dearth of case law is restricting lawyers’ ability to effectively resolve disputes, heard delegates at Latin Lawyer’s 6th Annual M&A conference in Rio de Janeiro last week.
