Costa Rican state telecoms company appeals antitrust ruling

The regulator accused ICE of committing margin squeeze with its Chip Extremo promotion/LDProd

State-owned Costa Rican telecoms provider Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad (ICE) is challenging a fine handed down by the Superintendency of Telecommunications (Sutel) for engaging in anticompetitive practices – drawing the backing of a coalition of seven unions associated with the state-owned company, which accuse the telecoms regulator of prejudicing the case.
