Government support key to Peru and Colombia’s project finance success

Government support has helped Colombia’s fourth generation (4G) infrastructure programme exceed expectations and bolstered the Peruvian power sector’s development, but dated regulation and underlying economic issues are continued barriers for diversified project finance, agreed a panel of lawyers and bankers at Latin Lawyer’s 2nd Annual Regional Project Finance Summit held last week in Washington, DC.
