Ramón Ignacio Andrade Monagas’ professional practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity and entertainment law. Mr. Andrade is the Latin American head of our technology, communications and innovation practice.

He is founder and president of the Venezuelan Association of Private Equity and Venture Capital.

Before joining our Norton Rose Fulbright Caracas in May 2000, Mr. Andrade was President of Tecnotip, C.A., a prestigious nationwide graphic arts products distribution company. Prior to that he was an associate at another major law firm in Caracas and also a director of Seguros Banvalor, C.A. (a Venezuelan insurance company).

Ramón received his JD from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, a Master Degree in Financial and Tax Law from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in 2003 and an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business, London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and HEC School of Management (Paris). TRIUM Global Executive MBA Program in 2009.

For several years, Ramón has been named as one of the leading lawyers in business in Venezuela and Latin America by institutions such as Chambers & Partners and Best Lawyers. Ramón is a member of the IMD Panel of Experts on World Competitiveness.
