Diego De la Guardia is a leading litigator, specialising in disputes relating to telecommunications, construction, health and safety, and energy (generation and distribution), and an expert on administrative law and public procurement.
Mr De la Guardia is director and president of Clínica Hospital San Fernando, Director of Desarrollo el Dorado SA, Diesel Engine Services SA, Camilo A Porras SA, Arrendadora Hospitalaria, and Secretary of Petroterminal de Panamá. He is a founding partner of numerous companies, including Paso Ancho Hydro Power Inc and the Belisario A Porras Foundation. He serves as legal counsel for Petroterminal de Panamá, since 1977, and for Gas Natural Fenosa (EDEMET and EDECHI). He has arbitrated in several cases involving multinational corporations in major infrastructure developments projects.
