Since 1977 provides counsel on civil matters and litigates in arbitration, civil, commercial, constitutional and administrative proceedings. Experienced at arguing before the Constitutional and Supreme Courts. Frequently required to draft constitutional and legal reforms of the Judiciary. Appointed twice Ad-hoc Judge at the Inter-American Court of Human Rights.

Since 1972 Professor of Law at Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru. Author of books and articles in his field. Member of the Advisory Committee of the Supreme Court and the Judiciary Academy.
