Alejandro’s practice focuses on financing, banking, capital markets, commercial agreements and environmental compliance, with special emphasis in corporate finance of different types, project finance, M&A in commercial, industrial, banking, financial and energy sectors.
He has been involved in relevant financial transactions in the past few years, including 144 A / Regulation S private offerings and power projects development and financing.
Alejandro recently advised international environmental organisations and local environmental agencies regarding the viability and implementation of a REDD+ project at the Reserva de la Biosfera Maya located in the northern part of Guatemala, one of the largest and richest natural reserves in Central America.
After his LLM, Alejandro worked in Washington, D.C. at the IIC and in a joint program with an international law firm and CI. He has been a professor of commercial law and the common law system at several law schools in Guatemala.
