Mr Albarracín advises domestic and international clients in a broad range of financing matters involving Latin America, including bank and structured financings, corporate and project bonds, and equity offerings, with a focus on oil and gas, energy, mining and infrastructure sectors.  His recent experience includes representing: the initial purchasers in four offerings of Rule 144A notes for a total $3 billion by YPF SA; Pan American Energy, an Argentine oil company, in (i) the US$100 million US Exim-guaranteed financing to acquire oil and gas drilling equipment, (ii) the $350 million syndicated financing and (iii) the US$500 million Rule 144A notes offering; the underwriters in three international offerings of a total of US$4.5 billion in SEC-registered bonds issued by Ecopetrol, Colombia's state-owned oil and gas company; Fermaca, a leading Mexican gas pipeline company, in its offering of $550 million Rule 144A notes; the sponsor, Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad, in the US$904 million project and bond financing for the Reventazón hydroelectric project in Costa Rica; the lenders and underwriters in a $1.2 billion local-currency-denominated loan and bond financing for Concesionaria Mexiquense, a leading Mexican toll-road operator controlled by OHL; Transportadora de Gas del Perú S.A in the $850 million Rule 144A/Regulation S notes offering; and the underwriters in the MXPUS$7.5 billion (approximately US$600 million) Rule 144/Regulation S notes offering by Red de Carretereas de Occidente, SAB. de CV, a leading Mexican toll-road concessionaire.
