Bolivian firms Bufete Aguirre Soc Civ and Quintanilla, Soria & Nishizawa have integrated their intellectual property practices in what is thought to be one of the first law firm mergers in the country.

The new venture, called Meliora IP SC - Intellectual Property Experts and Advisors, opened for business on 16 October. Meliora is staffed by two lawyers from Bufete Aguirre and Quintanilla Soria respectively.
