Ferrere drives first IDB bond issue in Paraguay

Ferrere (Paraguay) has helped an affiliate of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Group make a bond offering of 1 billion guaraníes (US$180 million), in the first bond programme in local currency registered by a multilateral entity in Paraguay.

The Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC) will use the bonds to finance private sector projects in Paraguay, primarily in the telecoms, agribusiness and infrastructure sectors. The bonds will be placed on the Asunción stock exchange.
