PE makes US$755 million engineering investment

Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Squire Patton Boggs; Peruvian firm Rebaza, Alcázar & De Las Casas and Brazil’s Machado Meyer Advogados have helped US private equity investor Veritas reach a US$755 million purchase agreement for the capital services business of Chicago Bridge & Iron Company (CBIC).

Engineering company CBIC turned to K&L Gates LLP’s New York and Boston offices. It is thought that Veritas also took counsel from McMillan LLP, but this could not be confirmed prior to publication.
