Vance Centre WIP conference: women have power to close gender gap

At yesterday’s annual Vance Center Women in the Profession Program (WIP) conference in Buenos Aires, female professionals were urged to instigate the closing of the gender gap through a culture of inclusivity.

"If we don’t realise that we are part of the problem, we won’t get to the solution,” said co-president of the conference Carolina Zang, of Zang, Bergel & Viñes Abogados. “We need to be part of the solution. The first ‘do’ of female leadership is to leave the door open for other women; that is our mantra here and it’s our top priority.” Adriana Ospina, director of strategic initiatives of the Vance Center, agreed: “Women have seen the gender gap as a problem of men, and it’s not – we are part of the problem.”
